AWG Coach Call

Hockey Yukon is looking to identify the coaching team for the Arctic Winter Games teams for the winter of 2026. The teams are as follows:

Female U19

Male U15

Male U18

If interested in coaching, you would need to commit to the tryouts of October 10-12 and November 14-16. You would then also be required to create practice plans and coach the practice times from November to March in preparation for the games. HY has regular ice on Sunday from 1:45-4:00. Discussion will occur about the amount of practice time and how these practices will work once team selections occur between all coaches and the HY AWG Committee. Please remember that you are expected to be a committed coach who is a positive influencer and role model for your team. The deadline to apply is July 31 and coaches will be identified prior to the tryouts and will work with the Selection Committee to structure tryouts and tailor the evaluation process to achieve the objectives of the HY Selection Policy.
